Unfortunately I am working with Vista and have the XP version installed. To my personal feeling everything is working fine. Now I read that one cannot join the BW when having this combination. I would not like to buy the X3 version at this point as my computer is already "announcing" that it will not make it very long anymore. The thing is that the new computers do all have Windows 7 preinstalled and as far as I know X3 does not match with Windows 7.
Besides all others, I love the XP Gif Animator which - even as a beginner - does not look very complicated to me. All other PI versions don't have a Gif Animator, right ?
I wonder what I can do to learn all of PI having Vista and XP combined.

Hi Sammy. You have me confused. What version of PI do you have. I don't recall an XP version. Do you perhaps mean XL?
The combination we mention that doesn't work is having Vista OS and PI11 and sometimes 12. X3 and 10 seem to work fine on Vista and I would bet that older versions will too.

Oh my gosh ! Yes of course I meant Photoimpact XL and not XP. Sorry for that confusion, Leenie. I bet my mind was going back to best memories of XP while I need to get along with Vista now. And Vista definitely is not my best friend :-)
I obviously got something wrong and misunderstood part of the thread "What is beginners' workshop...." in the BW saying:
If you are using a computer with Vista as its operating system, you must use either PhotoImpact 12 or X3.
Anyway, I gonna run to get myself listed on the mentor waiting list .... :-)
