I see there haven't been any post in this forum for quite a while. I love to paint with ArtRage and I have tried to paint each one of my pets. Usually they get painted after they have gone from my life but this one is still very much alive and such a sweet boy. Goliath is a yellow-sided green cheek conure, raised from birth. Thank you for looking.

Thanks, Joanne and Cindy,
Dust that ArtRage off, Cindy and use it! It's such a great painting program.

Thank you, Spirit and Anne. Cindy, glitter tiles sounds interesting. Tell us more. I paint mostly with the normal round oil brush and the hard out smear blending knife. But love to play with all the different brushes.

aaahhh... glitter... just use the glitter tool and paint the screen. You have choices of colors, metallic or not, squares, circles, balls, just paint and paint and paint the screen until its covered. Doesn't make them seamless but for filling things glitter would be used in it doesn't really make a whole lot of difference.

Lol lol! I don't think so, Maryt! Tips are about all I can give.

I get my reference photo or image and put it on the bottom layer to start. Then next layer I trace it. Next layer I start painting and go from there. You have to play around a lot with ArtRage to find out what you like. The layers feature is what makes easier to use. You can paint a small delicate piece on a separate layer (like an eye) and then merge it to the main painting after you have perfected it.

I can click on the trace thing, or the stencil thing, but then I never can figure out how to get OUT of it. LOL

Cindy I don't click on anything, I just make my first layer, then go to File/Import Image file to Layer, then click a + for next layer and start tracing on that layer. Then + for another layer and paint. Stencils are fun when you learn how to use them. To get rid of them go to Tools/Stencil options/Hide all stencils.

Good, I'm not an expert but I can share what I've learned. My notes have to be written down, my head doesn't keep notes any more.(Out of memory space. lol!)
