We just recently got a new member and she joined us from Facebook. Since I have the regular way almost shut down to keep out the unwanted garbage, I thought we might want to post on Facebook and see if we can get more new members.

How about everyone make something and post it on our Facebook page. We can all go and comment on the entries and maybe get some interest.

Here is the link:

Also, I've worked all afternoon on getting our Logo on the top of Facebook and it still looks aweful. How about some ideas for the top of our Facebook page. I total rebuilt what's there now and can't figure out why it's looking like I stretched it from a smaller copy.

I've been playing. I nabbed what logo I had and changed it from a .gif to an rgb .png and enlarged it so it would fit on the top page of FB, cleaned up the noise that comes from enlarging somewhat and then played, played, played with filters/effects. I'll post what I got here.

Can you say... Filter Forge!!! I LOVE Filter Forge.

LOL @Cindy :)
Good idea Billy. I do post stuff on Facebook but usually only on my own (public) page. I'll try to remember to post some on the PI page. Ironically, I came here just now to make this forum my default home page because I spend so much time on FB that I forget to come here :laugh2

Cindy I uploaded the last one onto Facebook. Same problem. I left it there so you could see it.

The ones you had a few hours ago (before the current one) looked fine to me. Not this one! Sorry :(

It has to have something to do with Facebook. They both got yuck when I put them there. I made both 400x150 px just like they said and I had to make my contents smaller because they did what Cindy's has done. Strange

I'm admin for a group and had terrible trouble getting mine to fit until I discovered the special arrangements for group cover photos. This is how I do it now. The top and bottom margins are cut off when you make it your "cover" so need to be left blank.

Well Anne, that looks better than anything else I've put up there. I tried them both and the one with the dark bottom strip came out the clearest.

Good job lady.

:tup7

Thanks,

Billie

852 x 314 is the size for the FB Cover Photo. Shrinking that down to 400 x 150 will screw them up. The ones I posted here are all 852 x 314. Least that's the size I make all of mine. What size did I make the one for VAA?? hmmmm Found it... 852 x 314 is what I made the cover photo for VAA FB page for it to look right.

When I upload that size, it doesn't all fit Cindy. I even tried starting from scratch and made on 400 x 150 and it was still messed up.
