Tonight I got out my pen and tablet and using Illustrator and my pencil tool I made some swirls.  I've always wanted to try a Christmas tree. This one is "so so".
BTW that vector website URL that Cindy gave us has tons of Christmas clusters to use to help us make our own.

I absolutely love these! I can't handle the DPO line tool very well. Hubby got me a tablet and pen, kids borrowed it, lost pen. I can't win!

Thanks, Joanne.  I always wanted to be able to do this and I never could until Illustrator.  There is a setting that lets you draw without so many nodes so you can get a smooth line.  The less nodes to adjust, the smoother you can get.  I'll admit Illustrator is my most pricey program but it's worth it.

These are fantastic, Pauline!!

I do better with the PI drawing thing, and that is pretty bad when I try swirls, PS no way. I had a tablet and there was no way on earth anything I did with it was good. I did better with a mouse!! LOL I tried, I practiced, it did not work well. And then a cat puked on the tablet and the keyboard rendering both useless. I bought a new keyboard but not another tablet, since I was a failure at using it.

I bought one of those Bamboo things years ago. Watched my son trace old George from the dollar bill. It was amazing. Then I tried...with a straight line. No go! Haven't had much success since. VBG

Well I learned that once you know PS it's easy to learn Illustrator.  They're sorta alike and you can transfer images back and forth.  My tablet is a bamboo but one of the less expensive ones.  It takes alot of practice.
