A photo is posted and people who wish to join in are given a new number each week.
Whoever is number one follows the first photo by studying it and taking an idea from that photo as their subject for the photo they post.
For example it may be a city scene with buildings, transport, plants, colours, shapes, etc. The first person may choose to follow with a photo with a bus in it and then the next person, number 2 follows with something from the previous shot.
General Rules:
1. You are encouraged to take new photos wherever possible but sometimes that isn't practical. So, we would love to see how the theme inspired you, but if you have the perfect shot waiting in your computer just mark it ARCHIVE somewhere in the text.
2. Unless specifically requested, please refrain from critiquing other people's photos.
3. Restrict each photo to 600 pixels along its longest side and 400kb maximum per photo. (The lower the kb the more it would be appreciated.)
Your numbers are:
1. Birgit
2. Cindy
3. Joanne
4. Billie
5. Mary
This is an archive shot.Taken at Currumbin Beach, I loved the contrast. And it also triggered memories of when my mother drove us four kids in the old holden station wagon from Brisbane to the Gold Coast. It used to take her over 3 hours to get there and another slow hot 3 hours coming home. I remember enjoying the sand under my feet and the smell and feel of the sea and the sea breezed and enjoying the swim.Attachment:

Beautiful car and sea view.
My follow is the sea shore and shells.
The almost first thing I learned in school was:

Two wonderful sea photos! I loved the smell of the ocean too. I haven't noticed that in recent trips to the shore.
I would love to sift through those shells.

I am following with a body of water. No beach, shells, but lots of vegetation. Up in Illinois I took that vegetation for granted, walking through it, no problem. We moved down here, walk through stuff like that, once, maybe twice if you don't figure it out the first time..but not after that. TICKS!!! They are NASTY down here. Even in our own yard, and we keep it mowed and critters go through it and all... ticks!!! Attachment:

Ticks you say! Well I guess that could be very challenging.
I love your scene and I'm sure that would be very relaxing sitting and enjoying nature. Great follow Cindy.

Oh, Cindy, I hear you about ticks. We even put "Astroturf" (fake grass) out back because the dogs made the yard a mud patch. That doesn't even stop the ticks. Fortunately, meds help keep those buggers off the dog.
Speaking of dog, this is another "country" photo sans water and shells. It was an American mastiff family reunion at the breeders home. Ron and Daegan are center photic. There have been as many as 20+ Mastiffs there at one time!Attachment:

What a great start Mary. I love that old car. Birgit your shot of the beach and ocean is awesome and a great follow. I'm with JoAnne, love to pilfer thru all that stuff on the beach. Cindy I want to go where ever this is. Great follow with the water. JoAnne how fun to go to that gathering. Nice follow. I am going to follow on the building in the back ground with a shot of my house and barn in the background of all that snow. Attachment:

How cool, Joanne! Great follow! Billie, gorgeous follow with that smattering of snow. We did have a few white dots on our deck the other day, like, one here, one there, one over about 10 inches...just white dots.

I love your snow scene Billie. It gives me an idea how cold it must be where you live.
So I'm contrasting with an Australian country bush track.
That's the end of the chain this week. Thank you all for joining in.Attachment:
