A personal note:

I have known Debbie since the days of PI Newbies also (early 2001 I believe) and consider her one of my very special online friends. We have shared a lot of laughs and a few tears over the years, by emails, instant messenger and even by telephone to far-away Jersey. Debbie's talent and her willingness to share her gift with the PhotoImpact community has been an inspiration to so many of us.
I am proud to say that I was a part of her brainstorming team along with Gary Hansen and Wouter Démoet as we worked on a motto and logo that we felt reflected a more global image for the PI-I board and the new website she was creating to accompany it.

I met Debbie somewhere back in 2000 but I don't remember exactly where or how but that's not important. We formed a great relationship over the years. Debbie has always been my right-hand person and always there to help when needed (which was often). She played a major role in the creation of the Beginners Workshop. We never expected it to be the huge success that it was, but once it was announced, we had more people apply than we could handle. Never fear though, Debbie and Virginia (Bearmistress) and I scrambled to add mentors to accommodate all those who wanted to learn. This was in 2002 - and it's still going strong today. Had it not been for Debbie's continued support, this probably would not have happened.

When I could no longer manage the PIRC Bulletin Board, Debbie cheerfully stepped in and agreed to take it over. She did an excellent job of keeping the board running and maintaining it with the same spirit in which it was created - people helping people.
We had some GREAT times over the years, and ones I will never forget. I grin each time I see a picture of a moose (inside joke). Debbie has also written some awesome tutorials for PhotoImpact. If you've never visited her Debisty Theatre you're missing a great show!

Debbie, the best of luck to you in whatever you do in the future and thank you for being there when you were greatly needed. When I have tea with HRH, you're invited!

A personal note:

When I first joined the PIRC Community, I just loved to do as many PhotoImpact tutorials as I could lay my hands on. Debbie's Bubble Slatted Head tutorial has always been one of my favourites. I have great respect for someone who can think up an original and very creative design.

Thank you Debbie.

I have enjoyed working with Debbie during the last year or so. Our communication lines were short and very pleasant. Debbie is a great artist, manager, innovator and a great friend on the internet. Thank you so much for all you did and still do for PhotoImpact International. I would like to wish you a lot of fun and success with your future projects.

Wouter Démoet
