In Memoriam:
.: Douglas Michael 'Funkman' Gross :.
1949 - 2007
Douglas Michael "Funkman" Gross, 58, died peacefully
on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, in UPMC Shadyside after a short battle
with esophageal cancer. Doug was born Feb. 9, 1949, lived in Swissvale
and formerly was of Phoenixville. He is survived by many friends
and family who cared deeply for him.
Doug joined the PhotoImpact International Community
in December 2003. He was a wonderful friend and touched the life
of many. He was an excellent photographer and graphical artist.
His macro- and other photos are an inspiration to many of us. His
PhotoImpact graphical work is outstanding. Doug will be missed by
many of our members.
The bio in his profile reads as follows:
Working for a buck -- been doin it all my life.
Digital photography, movies, and music crowd my off time along with
the occasional night out for micro-brew beers.
Well, working for a buck has come to an end as I am doing chemo
therapy for cancer. An interesting turn in life's journey. Prayers
and good thoughts are welcome.
Hobbies: Digital Photography, Graphics/Print Media:
I have a public photobucket account at Photobucket.com. My album

A really sweet person and always upbeat with a joke or two.

all like family here on this board. We read each others posts

I hope his family will now be at peace and like you bernie I
